Web Search API

Web Search API

Cloudflare's Web Search API beta enables AI agents to search the internet and ground responses in live data, supporting providers Ceramic.ai, Exa, and Linkup with zero data retention and verified bot compliance. Integrated with AI Gateway, search requests are logged and billed at provider list prices with no markup, and developers can supply their own API keys. The API is callable via REST or Workers' AI binding.

Why it matters

For architects building AI agents on Cloudflare, this API simplifies adding live web grounding without managing separate search integrations, while leveraging AI Gateway for observability and consistent billing.

Cloudflare Introduces CLI for AI Agents, Sunsetting Wrangler

Cloudflare recently launched the open beta of cf, a new open-source, agent-focused command-line interface for interacting with Cloudflare services through a unified CLI. Written in TypeScript, it provides structured output and command discovery to make Cloudflare’s APIs easier for both developers and AI agents. By Renato Losio

Article: The Platform Engineering Playbook for Production LLMs

In this article, author discusses his experience with AI agent hallucinations in an inventory recommendation system and how this problem was solved by treating the LLM stack as a platform infrastructure concern instead of as an application one. He makes a case for a shared LLM platform with common services like prompt registry & versioning, schema enforcement and token cost attribution by request. By Aditya Mulik

AWS Weekly Roundup: Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents powered by OpenAI, Q3 service availability updates, Kiro workflows, and more (October 5, 2026)

Last week, we announced a public preview of Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents powered by OpenAI, built on a customized version of OpenAI’s Agents API engineered to be AWS-native and integrated with AWS resources. You can now build agents optimized for OpenAI models that run entirely inside AWS with the identities, permissions, and governance controls you […]

Akka Tests Spec-Driven AI Delivery Across 65 Open Source Projects

Akka used 65 open-source projects to examine how specification structure, context, model selection, automated validation, and delivery guardrails affect AI assisted software porting. The experiment measured time, token use, code size, test parity, and performance, finding substantial variation across models, effort levels, and project types. By Leela Kumili

Presentation: Building Reusable Evaluation Frameworks for Agentic AI Products

Susan Chang detailed Elastic's shift from siloed, ad-hoc agent evaluations to a unified production framework. The approach bridges Python data science evals with TypeScript production code, balancing LLM-as-a-judge with deterministic rules. Deep tracing forms the foundation for catching regressions across complex RAG and cybersecurity workloads like Elastic's Attack Discovery.

Async Rust: Where does the scheduler live?

The original idea was to kick off this article with a short list of complaints people have about async Rust. Y’know, the type you often see in the wild, justified or otherwise. I then realized that it’d easily be possible to find enough material riffing on async Rust to cover a whole bingo card, and that this would make for a much funnier format. The next time you see people arguing about async Rust, see if you can get a bingo! A 5×5 bingo card of common async Rust complaints. Toggle original/dithered image

How Cloudflare addressed a cross-tenant data exposure vulnerability in Containers

On September 4, 2026, Oren Yomtov, a security researcher from Accomplish , responsibly reported a vulnerability affecting Cloudflare Containers and Cloudflare Sandboxes (which is built on Containers), through Cloudflare’s bug bounty program . Cloudflare has fully remediated the vulnerability, and we have no evidence that customer data has been compromised. This post was prepared in collaboration with Oren Yomtov and the Accomplish security research team, whose detailed report and controlled testing helped us validate the issue and respond quickly.
